Kenya and Tanzania Adventure

Thank you to GoAfrica Safari for making our trip to Kenya and Tanzania an incredible adventure. From Yvonne answering my many questions, to her sending photos of all the lodges to see whether they would work for Rick, to our wonderful guides/drivers Rashad and Oscar. the entire trip was a very special way to celebrate our 50th anniversary.

So many elephants in Amboseli with the backdrop of Kilimanjaro, tiny lion cubs being moved by their mom, the elephant orphanage, giraffe center, Kazuri bead factory, and the Karen Blixen Museum, then on to Masai Mara Reserve -- what an introduction to Kenya! Millions of wildebeests and thousands of zebras were all dotting the landscape, along with rhinos, and antelope of all shapes. Rashad navigated the roads flawlessly while searching out the best photo spots, all while keeping a running commentary about the animals and people.

Then on to Tanzania with Oscar taking over guide/driver duties. From Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater, there were so many lions, playful tiny cubs a few weeks old to adults, 22 lions in the first 90 minutes one day! Big 5 again, with leopards in trees, many, many hippos, families of elephants, servals, cheetahs, and giraffes both left and right. We loved the informative side trip to Olduvai Gorge, again with a ready wheelchair for Rick. Oscar was so knowledgeable about all the animals and like Rashad, just so much fun to travel with.

All the lodges were first-class, easily accessible, with outstanding food and the most friendly, helpful staff who made sure Rick always had assistance moving from one area to the next.

This was a trip that will be shared with many friends.
